The UAE's National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued yellow and orange alerts for parts of Al Ain due to the unstable weather, which is expected to last until 8:00 pm.

Rain of varying intensity has been reported in Al Sad, Malaqit, Al Hiyar, Al Foah, Umm Ghafah, Nahil and Al Faqa.

The NCM also warned of poor visibility and strong winds in the rain-affected areas.

It has called on people to stay away from valleys and water-logged areas.

Abu Dhabi Police urged motorists to exercise caution and to follow the changing speed limits displayed on electronic information boards.
