Hundreds of food establishments were inspected in Dubai during the Eid Al Adha period to ensure compliance with hygiene and safety guidelines.

Two of them were found violating the preventative measures related to COVID-19 during the checks carried out by officials at Dubai Municipality.

They conducted 163 field visits in total, while several safety campaigns were organised in the run-up to the holidays as well.

The inspections mainly focused on public markets, roasters, sweetshops and outlets selling meat.

Eid activities inside shopping malls were also reviewed by officials.
