A fire that ripped through a perfume factory in Umm Al Quwain on Monday afternoon was brought under control with no casualties being recorded.
Fire teams from the emirate, supported by Civil Defense from Sharjah, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah ensured the flames did not spread to neighbouring buildings in Umm Al Thaoub Industrial Area.
His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain, praised UAQ Civil Defense for their efforts in controlling the blaze while extending his appreciation to the teams from the other emirates.
His Highness visited the site, accompanied by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain, Colonel Dr. Salem Hamad bin Hamdah, Director of the Civil Defence Department in Umm Al Quwain, and Colonel Khaled Al Shamsi, Deputy Director General of the Civil Defense Department in Ajman.
