Sheikh Abdullah meets global counterparts in New York

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, has met with a number of his global counterparts on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.

He reiterated the UAE's stand for multilateral action and international partnerships during separate meetings with Greece's Minister of Affairs, George Gerapetritis; Singaporean Foreign Minister, Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan; Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs of Trinidad and Tobago, Sean Sobers; and Sri Lanka's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vijitha Herath.

Boosting cooperation across key sectors, including economy, trade, investment, culture, tourism, energy and AI, was top of the agenda, national news agency Wam reported.

The ministers also addressed the latest regional and international developments, as well as the 2026 United Nations Water Conference, which the UAE will co-host with Senegal from December 8 to 10.
