Emirati Astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi has shared a spectacular image of the crescent moon from space to mark the Hijri New Year.
He took to Twitter to share the glimpse of the crescent moon against a dramatic night sky to wish everyone "a year filled with blessings, happiness and discovery!
"As the Hijri New Year begins, I'm reminded that every moment is the dawn of a new beginning, an opportunity for growth and exploration," Al Neyadi wrote.

Earlier this week, he shared a photo of the UAE, shining brightly, at dawn on the horizon of the Earth’s curvature.
Al Neyadi is currently on a six-month space mission on board the International Space Station.
