The Foreign Ministers of the UAE, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Egypt have issued a joint statement expressing deep concern over the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza.
They say severe winter storms, heavy rain and flooding have exposed the fragility of conditions for nearly 1.9 million displaced people living in inadequate shelters.
Damaged tents, collapsed buildings, and exposure to cold have increased risks of disease, especially among children and the elderly.
The ministers praised the efforts of UN agencies, especially UNRWA, as well as international NGOs, and urged Israel to allow unrestricted humanitarian access to Gaza and the West Bank.
They called for immediate delivery of essential supplies, rehabilitation of infrastructure and the opening of the Rafah Crossing in both directions.
They also reaffirmed support for UN Security Council Resolution 2803 and US President Donald Trump’s Comprehensive Plan, expressing their commitment to its implementation to sustain the ceasefire, bring an end to the war in Gaza, and ensure a dignified life for the Palestinian people, while advancing a credible path toward self-determination and statehood.
