UAE airlines have suspended services to and from Morocco after the North African nation halted all incoming flights for a two-week period in response to the spread of a newly identified COVID-19 variant.
Etihad Airways said its Morocco services will remain suspended for two weeks, starting November 30.
The airline added that it is working closely with impacted guests to notify them of the changes to their itineraries.
Meanwhile, Emirates confirmed that it will be suspending passenger operations to and from Casablanca from November 30, until further notice.
"Customers holding tickets with the final destination to Casablanca will not be accepted at the point of origin," the Dubai-based carrier said in a statement on its website.
The Moroccan government said on Sunday that it will ban all inbound international passenger flights for two weeks starting November 29 due to concerns over the Omicron COVID-19 variant.
