UAE celebrates Flag Day in symbol of unity

The UAE Flag was raised in unison across the country today to celebrate Flag Day. Citizens and residents, as well as organisations, joined the country's leaders in raising the national colours.Thousands of flags have also been hoisted to spell out 'UAE' at Kite Beach in Jumeirah to mark the occasion. The initiative is organised by Brand Dubai, a subsidiary of the Government of Dubai Media Office. Flag Day is marked annually on November 3, coinciding with the day His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan became President of the UAE.
