The UAE has condemned a terrorist attack in northeast Nigeria that killed at least 60 people.
The attackers, believed to be carried out by Boko Haram, on the residents of a village located near the border with Cameroon, arrived on motorcycles and indiscriminately opened fire and set homes alight. More than 20 homes and 10 buses were burned.
The Nigerian Air Force said it killed 30 "terrorists" after engaging the attackers.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed the UAE’s strong condemnation of these terrorist acts and its permanent rejection of all forms of violence and extremism aimed at undermining security and stability.
The Ministry expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, and to the government and people of Nigeria, as well as its wishes for a speedy recovery for all the injured.
