UAE sees rise in breast cancer cases as more women get checked

The number of women being diagnosed with breast cancer in the UAE has gone up by 20% in less than a decade. Experts say women as young as the age of 20 should start self examinations if they have a family history of the disease. Oncology consultant at Burjeel Hospital Abu Dhabi Dr. Norbert W. Dreier tells ARN News that a rise in diagnoses is a positive result, because it means more women are being checked.
