UAE sends more food aid to Sudanese people in Chad

WAM

The UAE has dispatched a plane carrying 13 tonnes of food supplies to support Sudanese refugees in Chad.

The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to help those affected by the conflict that broke out in Sudan earlier this year.

It also eases pressure on neighbouring Chad which has been dealing with a huge influx of Sudanese refugees.

Earlier this month, the UAE opened its coordination office for foreign aid in Chad's Amdjarass city to streamline relief operations and reach out to more beneficiaries.
