Dubai Basketball Club to debut in ABA League

Dubai Basketball Club is set to make its debut in the Adriatic Basketball Association (ABA) League against reigning champions Crvena Zvezda (Red Star), at the Coca-Cola Arena on September 22.

Dubai’s first international sports franchise team will begin the tournament of 15 home games against clubs from Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Dubai Basketball Club aims to become the first-ever club all residents and citizens can call their "home team," and was established in 2022 by Chairman and Owner Abdulla Saeed Al Naboodah. The club is the first professional basketball team in the region to compete in a European league, with aspirations to join the EuroLeague in the near future.

Dubai Basketball Club Head Coach Jurica Golemac said, “This is a historical season, the first season of Dubai Basketball Club in the Adriatic League. We are excited and preparing to come to Dubai and come to the Coca-Cola Arena. This is just the beginning of our journey, and I am sure of one thing, this team is never going to give up, for sure we're going to hustle and we're going to fight like there is no tomorrow.” 

Basketball enthusiasts can register for the season’s pre-sale on September 2 at 10:00am (GST) on the Coca-Cola Arena website; pre-sale will be available to registered fans for 48 hours before the general sale on September 4 at 10:00am (GST).

Season Passes range from floor seats to premium and grandstand options, with prices starting at AED 1,750 for the entire season.
