A variety of sports and fitness activities will take place across the Expo 2020 Dubai site, along with 30 international tournaments held across the Emirate.

Dubai Sports Council (DSC) has put together a schedule packed with competitions and award ceremonies. The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award ceremony, 16th Dubai International Sports Conference (DISC) and Dubai Globe Soccer Awards will take place at the Expo 2020 site.

Meanwhile, 30 new international sporting events, including the men’s and women’s Rugby World Cup qualifiers in October and November, cricket’s Twenty20 World Cup, the European Tour’s ‘Race to Dubai’ finale, and the DP World Tour Championship, will be hosted across several parts of the Emirate.

At the Expo site's sports, fitness and wellbeing hub, all pavilions will host special events, with Australia putting up more than 500 events.

Visitors can also look forward to meeting sports stars, with Croatia's pavilion set to host Real Madrid's Luka Modric and Croatian NBA stars Dario Šarić and Bojan Bogdanović.

Nigeria has booked athletes like Jay-Jay Okocha, Nwankwo Kanu, Mikel John Obi, and two-time British world heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Joshua to grace Expo 2020 with their presence.
