Kipchoge first to run marathon in under 2 hours

Eliud Kipchoge has become the first athlete to complete the marathon in less than two hours.

The Kenyan achieved the feat at the 1:59 Ineos Challenge in Vienna on Saturday.

He ran the race in one hour, 59 minutes and 40 seconds. 

Kipchoge, who has won the London Marathon four times before, came just 26 seconds short of the historic milestone in May 2017.
