Liverpool stuns Barcelona to reach Champions League final

Liverpool produced one of the greatest comebacks in European football to advance to the Champions League final.

Jurgen Klopp's men thrashed Barcelona 4-0 at Anfield to turn around a 3-0 first leg deficit, thanks to two goals each for Divock Origi (7', 79') and second-half substitute Georgino Wijnaldum (54', 56').

The clash looked firmly in Barcelona's control after the size of their victory in Spain last week, especially with Liverpool's attackers Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino out injured.

But the Premier League side completed an amazing revival, with Origi opening the scoring from close range, Wijnaldum striking twice in the space of 122 seconds and then Origi scoring again with barely 10 minutes to go as the clash ended 4-3 on aggregate.

The Reds will play in their second successive Champions League final on June 1 in Madrid, facing either Ajax or Tottenham.
