Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg after taking pole position at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

Nico Rosberg is on pole after out-qualifying Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton for the sixth race in a row. Hamilton will start second on the grid with Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen in 3rd at the season closing Abu Dhabi F1. After qualifying, Rosberg rejected claims that he has experienced a revival and explained that his recent good form is down to "progress."
