UAE kicks off U17 Asian Cup campaign with win over Australia

The UAE has defeated Australia 2-0 in the second round of Group B of the AFC U-17 Asian Cup.

Mayed Adel and Mohammed Butti scored the winning goals for the national team at Saudi Arabia's King Fahd Sports City Stadium, national news agency Wam reported.

The win earns the national team three points and a second place in the group standings.

Japan leads with four points, while Vietnam is in third place with two points. Australia is in fourth position with one point.

In the same group, Vietnam and Japan drew 1-1.
