Only licenced entities are allowed to host Ramadan tents in the UAE capital.
That's according to the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee, which has approved a host of precautionary measures for the Holy Month of Ramadan.
They urged Iftar and Suhur gatherings to be limited to family members that live in the same house, with extra precautions for high-risk people at gatherings.
People have been advised to wear safety equipment when distributing Ramadan meals and use electronic payments for donations and gifts.
All worshippers must observe social distancing guidelines, wear face masks and use personal prayer mats at mosques.
COVID-19 patients have also been advised to consult their doctors before fasting.
