Counterfeit car parts worth more than AED 10 million seized in UAE raids

More than AED 10 million worth of counterfeit car parts have been seized in 21 raids across the UAE in 2020.

The raids were carried out by Al-Futtaim Toyota in collaboration with UAE government authorities and the Economic Development Department. 

The confiscated items included 165,375 oil filters and spark plugs and fines worth AED 310,000 were issued.

In an effort to bolster the fight against counterfeiters, Al-Futtaim Toyota along with TMC’s legal partners held 10 training programmes nationwide, providing sessions for more than 400 government officials and field inspectors.
