The UAE has confirmed 1,002 new cases of COVID-19, taking the overall tally in the country to 88,532.
According to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), as many as 93,618 additional tests have been carried out across the Emirates.
Meanwhile, the number of recoveries has gone up to 77,937 after another 942 people received the all-clear.
The ministry has also confirmed the death of one patient, bringing the total number of fatalities to 407.
This means that there are currently 10,188 active cases in the country.
