Dubai has started issuing five-year multiple-entry visas for employees of multinational companies.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai's Crown Prince and Chairman of the Executive Council, announced the move on Twitter.
He said the initiative will help employees to travel easily to and from Dubai to take part in meetings, conferences and exhibitions throughout the year.
It's part of efforts to boost Dubai’s position as the best city to work and live in.
- The visa has been rolled out by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) - Dubai in cooperation with Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET).
- The visa holders will be able to visit and stay in the UAE for 90 days, with the option of extending their stay for another 90 days.
- The new entry permit joins other categories of visas and programmes recently launched by Dubai including the Golden Visa for entrepreneurs and property and business investors, as well as the Retire in Dubai and Virtual Working programmes, which provide more flexibility and options for talent looking to work and reside in the emirate.
