Dubai police officer promoted for rejecting AED 50,000 bribe

The Dubai Police officer has been honoured and promoted for turning down AED 50,000 in bribe.

 

Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, also awarded officer Mohammed Abdullah Belal with a prize and an appreciation certificate for his honesty.

According to the Dubai Police, Belal had rejected the offer of AED 50,000 and a car to turn a blind eye to an illegal liquor trade in Dubai's Al Muhaisnah area.
