In less than 48 hours, the Dubai Police have detained a five-member gang for stealing goods worth AED 20 million from a villa in Emirates Hills.
The gang, who had entered the UAE on a visit visa, were identified and arrested as they approached dealers in the city to sell the stolen goods.
"Forty-eight hours after receiving the emergency call, the gang members were arrested, and the jewellery was recovered despite having very little evidence," said Major-General Khalil Ebrahim Al Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs.
