Inter-city bus services between Dubai and Sharjah have started operating again.
According to Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), routes E303 and E307A resumed operations on Sunday, September 27, while the third route, E315 will restart services two weeks later.
Authorities have called on commuters to comply with the precautionary measures against COVID-19 such as physical distancing and wearing face masks.
The three bus routes that are critical to the integration of public transport links between Dubai and Sharjah had been suspended during the COVID-19 national disinfection programme.
"These routes are transitional to riders returning to Sharjah starting their journey off three metro stations in Dubai (Union, Abu Hail and Etisalat). They will ease the mobility of commuters between the two Emirates, especially those living in Sharjah and working in Dubai," said Adel Shakri, Director of Planning and Business Development at RTA's Public Transport Agency.
