Dubai has launched a new cancer fund to support patients undergoing treatment and help ease their financial burden.
'The Cancer Fund' has been set up by Al Jalila Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Dubai Health, to ensure patients can continue receiving care throughout their recovery.
The initiative was launched by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Health Board of Directors, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of the Board.
During a ceremony at Dubai Hospital, Sheikh Ahmed also unveiled 'The Giving Wall', which recognises donors who have supported treatment programmes.
He praised the generosity of individuals and institutions supporting healthcare initiatives, describing it as a reflection of the UAE’s strong culture of giving.
Al Jalila Foundation is encouraging the public to contribute to its Ramadan 2026 campaign, stressing that every donation can make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families.
