Dubai Police has announced the locations of the Eid Al Fitr cannons that will be fired to mark the end of Ramadan.
The seven cannons will be situated at the Zabeel Grand Mosque and at prayer grounds in Al Barsha, Nad Al Sheba, Al Mankhool, Al Baraha, Nad Al Hamar, and Hatta.
The firing of the cannons signifies the end of fasting until next Ramadan and announces the start of the Eid Al Fitr festivities.
Major General Abdullah Ali Al-Ghaithi, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs, said the Eid cannons are part of their commitment to social heritage that is deeply rooted in the memory and conscience of UAE society and Dubai is keen to continue the tradition.
He congratulated citizens, residents, and visitors throughout the UAE on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, wishing them blessings and happiness.
