His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai said "Dubai is the city of the world" in a New Year message on X.
His Highness wrote "36 locations for New Year's celebrations...experienced by millions of tourists, residents and citizens.. and conveyed to their families and loved ones in 190 countries around the world to which these nationalities belong.
"The celebrations were a global model of coexistence, tolerance and civilization.
"We congratulate everyone on the New Year...and we thank everyone who attended, interacted and shared our celebrations from all countries of the world."

His Highness offered his special thanks to Dubai's Events Security Committee, which included 55 government agencies that contributed to safe, and smooth celebrations.
Sheikh Mohammed finished his post by wishing "a Happy New Year to everyone...and may the Emirates be a country that welcomes the world...and represents an honourable model for the world."
