Dubai's Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has confirmed that private schools in the emirate will remain open on Thursday.
The education regulator has expressed its condolences on the passing of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
"He brought thousands of students together in friendship, harmony and mutual respect - may he Rest In Peace," said the KHDA.

Dubai's Ruler's Court earlier announced a 10-day mourning period during which flags will be flown at half-mast.
Dubai Government departments and entities will also suspend operations for three days, starting Thursday, March 25.
