A flydubai flight from Dubai to Israel's Ben Gurion airport was diverted to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday due to an incident.

In a statement, flydubai spokesperson confirmed that flight FZ 1073 "landed safely in Tabuk and all passengers are safe and accounted for".

The airline added that "further updates will be issued as additional confirmed details become available".

"Our teams are working closely with the relevant authorities," the spokesperson said, adding that "safety and well-being of our passengers and crew remain our highest priority".
