Public parking slots and toll gates in Abu Dhabi will be free of charge during the New Year's holiday on Monday, January 1.
According to the Integrated Transport Authority (ITC), the M-18 truck parking lot in the Musaffah area will also be free of charge.
It called on motorists to avoid parking in prohibited areas and in residential parking spaces from 9:00 pm to 8:00 am.
The ITC's Customer Happiness Centres across the emirate of Abu Dhabi will be closed on Monday, January 1, and will resume operations on Tuesday, January 2.
Customers can continue to access ITC’s services on its digital platforms and through the unified Service Support Centre of the Department of Municipalities and Transport on the toll-free number 800850 and Taxi call centre 600535353, which are available 24/7.
Meanwhile, public buses will operate according to the regular holiday schedule. The number of trips between Abu Dhabi city and its suburbs will be increased, as well as the services between Abu Dhabi and other emirates.
The ITC will also operate additional trips on the free bus route No. 408, which serves visitors to and from the Sheikh Zayed Festival.
