His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has toured the Al Khawaneej branch of 'Dubai Schools' as he reviewed measures aimed at further advancing the emirate's education sector.
Sheikh Hamdan, who also holds the positions of Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, also attended a few classes to monitor student interaction.
The investment trajectory of the 'Dubai Schools' project shows that total investment has grown from AED62 million in 2021 to AED1 billion in 2025 and is expected to reach AED4 billion by 2033.
Launched in March 2021, the 'Dubai Schools' project aims to provide an innovative Emirati schooling system that offers high-quality education rooted in national values, and at an affordable cost. It's managed through a strategic partnership between the Knowledge Fund Establishment and the private sector.
"This system represents an incubator for tomorrow’s leaders and innovation pioneers while also serving as a platform for moulding an Emirati generation aware of its national responsibilities and equipped with the skills to be globally competitive," added Sheikh Hamdan.
"The public-private partnership model for Dubai Schools reinforces our vision that developing human capital outweighs infrastructure targets."
Sheikh Hamdan said the project is inspired by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and aims to place Dubai among the world’s top 10 cities in education quality, in line with the Dubai Education Strategy 2033.
A total of 4,515 students are currently enrolled across the Dubai School's three campuses - Nad Al Sheba, Al Khawaneej and Al Barsha. With the figure expected to touch 15,000 by 2033.
