His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has held discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin by phone.
In light of recent developments, the two leaders agreed on the need to maintain the stability of the global energy market.
Sheikh Mohamed emphasised the need for a peaceful solution to the Ukraine crisis in a way that guarantees the interests and national security of all parties.
His Highness said communication and consultation was needed to resolve the crisis and reach a political settlement to achieve peace and security.
In this context, Sheikh Mohamed affirmed that the UAE will continue its contacts with the various concerned parties in order to help find political solutions to the crisis.
