The Jabal Al-Kitab Mountain will soon become a blanket of green after an afforestation directive was issued.
This announcement came while His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, went on an inspection visit to the city of Kalba.
At least 3,500 seedlings will be taken from the El Badi Palace to be planted on the mountainside.
The visit also saw Sheikh Sultan follow up on infrastructure projects that include the Al Kitab Rest Project and the new Kalba corniche.
His Highness was briefed on the designs and plans that aim to provide more services to visitors, including a plan to build a new road leading to the tourist attraction.
