No injuries have been reported after a minor fire broke out at a private school in Dubai on Monday.
A spokesperson from Dubai Civil Defence said emergency response teams rushed to the GEMS Modern Academy in Nad Al Sheba 3 after being alerted about the incident at 12:06 pm.
The fire started in the guards' cabin that's located away from the main school complex.
Firefighters managed to douse the flames within six minutes at 12:17 pm.
In a statement, Nargish Khambatta, Principal and CEO of GEMS Modern Academy and Vice President - Education, GEMS Education, said that the "school's well-rehearsed evacuation protocol was followed immediately" and "all children were safely evacuated to the main field away from the scene of the fire within minutes".
