Dubai's Sheikh Zayed Road has been partially closed today, from 6 am to 1 pm, between the intersections of Dubai World Trade Centre and the Dubai Mall. Tweets from the official account of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) say it's to allow for an aerial video shoot to take place in the location, with motorists advised to take alternative roads. An advisory posted by The H hotel in the area says scenes for the Hollywood movie, Star Trek Beyond are being filmed. Guests have been advised to use 2nd December Street, as access from Sheikh Zayed Road is closed. The road closures have led to tail backs on sections of Sheikh Zayed Road road, with some Dubai residents tweeting pictures and videos of helicopters and camera crews in the area.
