Extreme weather events will be causing implications for the UAE’s food supply in the long term. That’s according to experts who hosted a joint forum on UAE food security with Australian business leaders and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Experts at the forum say business leaders in the UAE and Australia are working together to establish joint development projects in food security as Australia is a major food exporter with cutting edge technologies. Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi, UAE Permanent Representative to the International Renewable Energy Agency and Director of Energy and Climate Change department at the Ministry says food security is always a priority for the country as the UAE faces challenges due to its location.
