The UAE's third aid ship, carrying 4,500 tonnes of humanitarian supplies, is set to depart from the UAE for the city of Al Arish in Egypt.
The shipment, which will arrive in Egypt by Wednesday, is part of the 'Gallant Knight 3' operation directed by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to provide support to the Palestinian people in Gaza.
The relief package includes food, medical supplies, nutritional supplements for children, winter clothes, shelter materials and other essential items.
A comprehensive plan has been drafted In collaboration with the Emirates Red Crescent teams on the ground, to ensure the efficient distribution of the ship’s aid cargo to the regions of Gaza most affected by recent events, with a particular focus on providing adequate food supplies during the holy month of Ramadan.
In December 2023 and February 2024, the UAE dispatched its first and second aid ships to El Arish, delivering a total of 8,319 tonnes of relief, including food, shelter materials, and medical supplies, as part of its humanitarian operation.
