Another video has emerged which shows a teacher striking a student. In the footage, a tutor in a school in Fujairah can be seen beating a pupil in a classroom. It’s the third such incident in the last two weeks, after videos showed similar occurrences in Ajman and Abu Dhabi. Authorities are now investigating the incident. Meanwhile, a hotline for students to report any behaviour that may threaten their well-being is being launched by the Ministry of Education. According to national news agency WAM, it’ll be supervised by experts, and will help pupils report incidents in the correct way. The Minister of Education, Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, stressed that the hotline is part of plans to achieve transparency and stability at schools.
