Chef Mussie Imnetu, head chef at The Brasserie in Dubai’s The Arts Club, has received an outpouring of support following his death after an attack in London.
The 41-year-old chef was left in critical condition with a head injury on Monday. He was admitted to a hospital in London before passing away.
Omar Wilson, 31, faced charges at Westminster Magistrate’s Court on Friday for allegedly assaulting the chef outside the Dr Power restaurant in Queensway around 11:22 p.m. on Monday, August 26.
His employers said he will be remembered for his “passion, calm demeanour and kindness”.
The Swedish chef had worked with the likes of Gordon Ramsay, Alain Ducasse, and Marcus Wareing before joining The Arts Club Dubai from its sister venue in London.
He had previously worked at Oblix at The Shard and The Savoy Grill in London.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Mussie who died tragically young. A beautiful man. He cooks with the angels. May his soul rest in eternal peace. pic.twitter.com/1NuvCHur0K
