Two men have been arrested in Ajman, less than 12 hours after a fatal hit-and-run incident in Sharjah.
Police said the men ran over a salesman while trying to drive away without paying for two e-cigarettes worth AED 1,000 each.
“The salesman tried to stop them but fell in front of the vehicle and was run over,” an officer added.
Following a quick investigation, a team of officers from Ajman and Sharjah nabbed the men, who were found to be driving a car with a “fake number plate”.
