The UAE has announced 294 new cases of COVID-19.
According to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), this now brings the total number of diagnosed cases to 1,799.
The ministry also revealed that 19 more people have recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 144 in the country .
They explained that the recently diagnosed patients who contracted the virus, did not follow quarantine guidelines and consequently spread it to others.
Ministry officials are, once again, reminding the public to follow the instructions of the UAE government in order to contain the spread of COVID-19 and overcome the current situation in the quickest way possible.
