A National Policy on Vaccinations has been approved by the UAE cabinet, headed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
It's part of ongoing efforts to combat communicable diseases and reduce their risks to the wider community.
The latest initiative will help improve coordination between all parties involved in the field of immunisation, in addition to unifying the efforts of various authorities.
The policy is also aimed at enhancing the UAE’s position as a regional and international healthcare hub.
