The UAE has welcomed the recent agreement signed in Muscat on the exchange of prisoners and detainees in Yemen, calling it an important humanitarian step that eases suffering and supports stability in the region.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised Oman for hosting and facilitating the talks, and highlighted the cooperation of Saudi Arabia, the United Nations Special Envoy for Yemen, and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The UAE reaffirmed its support for all regional and international efforts to reach a comprehensive political solution that ends the crisis in Yemen and meets the aspirations of the Yemeni people for security, stability and development.
