The UAE air defence systems intercepted 8 ballistic missiles and 26 drones on Tuesday, according to figures released by the Ministry of Defence.
Officials said 9 ballistic missiles were detected, with 8 being destroyed, while 1 ballistic missile fell into the sea.
Additionally, 35 drones were detected, with 26 being destroyed, while 9 drones fell within the country's territory.
Since the start of the Iranian attacks, 262 ballistic missiles have been detected, of which 241 ballistic missiles were destroyed, while 19 of them fell into the sea, and 2 missiles fell on the country's territory.
Additionally, 1,475 Iranian drones were detected and 1,385 of them were intercepted, while 90 drones fell within the country's territory.
Eight cruise missiles were also detected and destroyed.
These attacks have resulted in six deaths, involving nationals of the UAE, Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh, according to the ministry.
A further 122 people were injured, with those affected including nationals from the UAE, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, Philippines, Pakistan, Iran, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Yemen, Uganda, Eritrea, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Comoros, Turkey, Iraq, Nepal, Nigeria, Oman, Jordan and Palestine.
The Ministry of Defence said the armed forces remain on high alert and are prepared to respond to any threats targeting the country’s security and stability.
