Foreign ministers of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Indonesia, and Pakistan have issued a joint statement welcoming US President Trump's proposal in ending the war in Gaza and finding a 'path in peace'.
Highlighting the importance of partnering with the US to secure regional peace, the ministers welcomed Trump's recent proposal in ending the war, rebuilding Gaza, and preventing the displacement of Palestinians, alongside his recent announcement on not allowing the annexation of the West Bank.
They revealed their joint commitment to work with the US to end the war in Gaza through a comprehensive deal that ensures unrestricted delivery of sufficient humanitarian aid to Gaza, full Israeli withdrawal, releasing the hostages and preventing Palestinian displacement.
The deal also aims to create a path for a just peace on the basis of the two-state solution that rebuilds and fully integrates Gaza with the West Bank in a Palestinian state the reflects international law and achieves regional stability.
The states affirmed their readiness to engage positively and constructively with the US toward finalising the agreement and ensuring its safe implementation.
The statement follows a recent multilateral summit held between Trump and the Muslim-majority states that included the introduction of a 20-point plan to end war in Gaza.
