The UAE has announced the launch of a humanitarian campaign to support Palestinians affected by the war in the Gaza Strip.
As part of the 'Compassion for Gaza' campaign, collection centres for aid and relief packages will be set up in coordination with charitable organisations, volunteer centres and the private sector.
The initiative aims to provide relief materials and essential supplies to ease the suffering of the most vulnerable groups, especially children and families.
It has been launched in collaboration with the World Food Programme, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Community Development.
The campaign will start on Sunday in Abu Dhabi (Ports Hall in Mina Zayed from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm) under the supervision of the Emirates Red Crescent.
It will be expanded into the other emirates at a later stage.
