President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Monday congratulated Karol Nawrocki on winning the Polish presidential election.
On social media platform X, Sheikh Mohamed said he looks forward to working with Nawrocki to "build upon the strong ties between the UAE and Poland".
In a victory for European conservatives inspired by US President Donald Trump, Nawrocki secured 50.89 per cent of the vote, the country's Election Commission data showed.
Nawrocki, 42, who previously ran a national remembrance institute, campaigned on a promise to ensure economic and social policies that favour Poles.
The UAE is Poland's leading partner in the region, cooperating in economic and security matters. At least 2,000 Poles live in the UAE, the highest in any Arab state.
I extend my congratulations to Karol Nawrocki on the result of the Polish presidential election, and I look forward to working with him to build upon the strong ties between the UAE and Poland and drive further growth and development for our countries.
