UAE rescue team, Albanian officials coordinate to battle wildfires

The UAE rescue team held a meeting with several Albanian officials to enhance cooperation after performing 211 drops with more than 400,000 kilograms of water in efforts to combat the forest fires.

The team has conducted eight air raids to date over fire-affected areas around Gramsh in a humanitarian effort to help the friendly Albanian people.

The meeting resulted in the UAE rescue team providing full support to the Albanian side in carrying out the mission to save lives and protect property.

For their part, several Albanian officials expressed their appreciation to the United Arab Emirates and to the wise leadership of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for standing by Albania in the current situation.

They also praised the UAE rescue team for their high professionalism and significant impact on the speed of the mission.

The UAE rescue team members arrived in Albania on Monday under the directives of the UAE President.
