The UAE's President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow to discuss their strategic partnership and address key regional and international issues.
During the meeting at the Kremlin, the two leaders reviewed the progress of UAE-Russian relations, highlighting collaboration in areas such as economy, trade, investment, space, and energy.
The discussions also touched on the BRICS Summit and the group's role in promoting international cooperation. Sheikh Mohamed praised Putin’s leadership during the current BRICS session and wished Russia continued success in its presidency.
The two leaders exchanged views on pressing regional issues, with Sheikh Mohamed emphasising the UAE's support for peace and stability globally.
He called for a clear political framework to achieve a just resolution to conflicts, particularly in the Middle East, advocating for a two-state solution to ensure lasting security.
Putin expressed appreciation for the UAE’s recent mediation efforts that facilitated a prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine, while Sheikh Mohamed thanked the Russian government for its collaboration and reaffirmed the UAE's commitment to humanitarian initiatives.
