The UAE strongly condemned the Iranian attack targeting the Habshan gas facility and the Bab field in Abu Dhabi, which was successfully intercepted by air defences with no injuries reported.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called the strikes a dangerous escalation and a clear violation of international law.
It affirmed the UAE’s full right to take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty, security and national interests.
The ministry also warned that attacks on the country’s infrastructure and oil facilities pose a direct threat to regional security, stability and global energy supplies.
